Coming out is an emotionally charged process. So some people sometimes choose an unusual moment to take action. This is what happened on Sunday in London during Harry Styles’ concert. 90,000 people gathered at Wembley Stadium in London to listen to the British pop star. Among the fans, an Italian named Mattia held a sign that read, “From Ono to Wembley. Help me out.” the singer of Watermelon Sugar noticing the sign, he asked to be forwarded the message to share with the public.

“So would you like the people at Wembley to help you out?” he asked his fan to applause from the crowd. The former One Direction star then asked the public to make noise for the boy, holding a colorful flag of the LGBTQ+ community.
“When this flag flies over my head, you’re officially ‘out,’ boy.” I think that’s how it works.” But Stiles, as a man of the stage, was able to make the pleasure last for a few seconds. For before the execution he taunted Mattia, saying that he was “still upright,” while he waved the flag on either side of the stage to the sound of a drum. Then, finally, triumphantly raise it overhead. “Congratulations Mattia, you are a free man.” And conclude with a wave of the hand and a blown kiss. The 90,000 spectators then roared and applauded at the perfect moment of communion, perhaps liberating the young Italian.
This is not the first time for Harry Styles. Indeed, the singer has already helped another fan come out to his mother during his 2021 US tour, in keeping with his philanthropic relationship with the LGBTQ+ community. In his new movie My police officer (set for a November 4, 2022 release on Amazon Prime Video), he’ll also play a gay cop at the heart of a love triangle with a woman and a man. Musically, his third album Harry’s house is currently setting download records in several countries.
