MAMA Awards announces nominees for the 2024 edition; check it out!

The nominees for the 2024 edition of the MAMA Awards have already been revealed. As reported by the Soompi portal, to be eligible, artists must have released a musical project between October 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024, and must meet the following criteria to be declared the winners at the end of the voting:

• Artist of the Year and Artist Category Awards — 20% judge rating, 40% streaming/downloads (25% Korea + 15% global), 40% physical album sales
• Song of the Year and Genre Category Awards — 40% judge rating, 60% streaming/downloads (40% Korea + 20% global)
• Album of the Year — 40% jury rating, 60% physical album sales (from albums that have sold at least 1 million copies)
• Best music video and best choreography — 100% jury rating
• Fan Choice Male/Female
  Round 1: 90% Mnet Plus votes, 10% X votes
  Round 2: 90% Mnet Plus votes, 10% X votes
• Fans’ Choice of the Year
  90% Mnet Plus votes, 10% X votes
  Additional 10% real-time votes on Mnet Plus

It is worth remembering that the first round of voting for the nominees in the “Fans’ Choice” category will take place until October 25th, where 20 artists selected in the pre-voting must go through the second round of voting between November 1st and November 15th. month.
