Sequel to “Moana – Um Mar de Aventuras”, from 2016, ‘Moana 2’ should premiere in national cinemas later this year
On the afternoon of Tuesday, 8th, Walt Disney Animation Studios released a special look for “Moana 2”, featuring never-before-seen scenes of the sailing princess alongside the demigod Maui, the new crew members and the deities and villains of the sequence. Here in Brazil, the preview was released as a second trailer for the production; watch!

“Walt Disney Animation Studios’ epic animated musical “Moana 2” reunites Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) and Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson) three years later for a new and expansive voyage alongside a crew of unlikely sailors. After receiving an unexpected calling from her ancestors, Moana must travel to the distant seas of Oceania and dangerous, long-lost waters in an adventure unlike anything she has ever faced. Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Millerand produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino‘Moana 2’ features songs from Abigail Barlow and Emily BearGrammy® winners, Opetaia Foa’inominated for a Grammy, and Mark Mancinathree-time Grammy winner. Jared Bush and Miller are writing the film, which is executive produced by Jennifer Lee, Bush and Johnson.
The film also features the return of stars Rachel House (Moana’s grandmother, Tala), Temuera Morrison (Moana’s father, boss Tui) and Nicole Scherzinger (Moana’s mother, Sina), in addition to the voices of Hualālai Chung, David Fane and Rose Matafeo as Moana’s new team members Moni, Kele, and Loto, respectively. Awhimai Fraser gives voice to the new and mysterious character Matangi; Gerald Ramsey plays Moana’s ancestor, Tautai Vasa; and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda lends her voice to Moana’s adorable little sister, Simea.”
It is worth remembering that the animation sequence released in 2016 is scheduled for release on November 28th in cinemas.
