Discover the reason and the twists already revealed about the disagreement that Hui, from PENTAGON, and Mark, from GOT7, experienced during the trainee era
Sharing small spaces with many people is not always easy and can generate some conflicts — and that’s what happened with Huifrom PENTAGON, and Markfrom GOT7, who when they were still trainees at JYP Entertainment, ended up fighting over the division of the practice room.
The discussion was revealed in 2017 by Jinyoung and J.B.also from GOT7, during a live broadcast, where the idols remember the moment as a comical situation. Without explaining the reason for the disagreement, they said that Hui and Mark they started arguing when Youngjaeformer member of BAP, who was also a trainee at the time, tried to help, but ended up arguing with Mark. As a result, J.B. also tried to end the conflict, but ended up getting into a fight with Mark.
The whole discussion takes on a funny perspective when J.B. explains that the fight had an interpreter. That’s because Mark speaks English, and the other idols only spoke Korean, making them YoungKfrom DAY6, who knew both languages, acted as announcer and mediator, going over the arguments between one and the other during the disagreement and being careful not to sound rude. Remember:
More than that, when Hui was invited to participate in the MBC FM4U radio program Youngjaeby GOT7, titled “GOT7’s Youngjae’s Best Friend” (also known as “Close Friend”), it was his turn to explain how the whole conflict started.
According to the idol, they were all preparing for the monthly evaluations at the time, and two teams gathered in the practice room to train. Hui I was in a group and Mark he was in another, but, despite not remembering who the other people were involved, he stated that, with so many trainees, the practice room became too small for everyone to rehearse.
Thus, they ended up arguing about who could use the space. Although the idol stated that it was a “super small” disagreement, he did not want to reveal more details about what they said to each other or how the conflict ended, stating that there may have been more involved and that “maybe later” he can tell .
As reported by the Koreaboo portal, this was the dialogue:
Hui: Is this the first time I talk about this? I don’t know… but we were preparing for the evaluations. I was on the same team with people like Youngjae, Jaebeommie…Youngjae: There were three of you?
Hui: I don’t remember clearly! But the underground training room was too small for two teams to be in at the same time.
Youngjae: So it got crowded.
Hui: Yes, and it was because of space that we… You know.
Youngjae: Like what?
Hui: Like, we’d be practicing… And, well, how should I say this? It got competitive about who gets to use the space, more or less. It was super small, but we’re sensitive about… The smallest things, you know? It’s so small…
Youngjae: Please tell us in detail! What happened has already happened! It’s not like it’s a bad thing.
Hui: Well, that’s it. It was about space! Eventually, we all had a little fight and, uh…
Youngjae: The more you “uhmmm”, the more I want to hear!
Hui: Now, everyone debuted for different teams. So it looks like members of different groups were all in this fight. But yes, in the end, we resolved it and had our happy ending.
Youngjae: Oh, OK. So in the end, did you all figure out how to divide the room?
Hui: Yes, something like that…
Youngjae: When you say “something like that”, it makes me think, “Is there anything else to this…?”
Hui: Well, there might be a little more… Maybe later, I can…
Youngjae: Wow, this is driving me crazy!
