Backstage at the Spring/Summer 2025 show, we caught up with Rabanne’s creative director of beauty, Diane Kendall, who revealed the secrets behind the models’ glowing makeup.
Shine, but without glitter. This was reflected in the beauty of Rabanne’s spring-summer 2025 fashion show, held this Wednesday, September 25, at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. “When I spoke to Julien (Dossena, art director of Rabanne, editor’s note)It sparked the idea of making the ordinary extraordinary and combining these two elements,” says Diane Kendall, Rabanne’s creative director of beauty, backstage at the show. “There are always metallic accents in the house’s clothing collections, and she wanted to see that in the makeup,” adds the makeup artist, who detailed the steps for this chic yet easily wearable and reproducible look.
Complete redness on the skin of the face
Shiny and light, sure, but totally avoiding the disco ball effect. “We kept the complexion very light and natural,” explains the expert, sharing her tip for creating a fresh and fresh look. shiny “What I always do after moisturizing my skin is apply foundation with a clean tissue, combined with the warmth of your fingers. It’s a good way to make sure you don’t have too much moisturizer and shine on your face.”

To perfect the models’ complexions for a healthy glow, “we applied two different shades of cream blush on the cheekbones and up to the temples, which gives a tanned look,” she continues. This same product has also been skewed and used to enhance the look. “We applied blush around the eyes, which gives this really beautiful halo of color. We also added eye glitter from the Rabanne Eyephoria palette. Then, a touch of the lashes just at the roots of the curled lashes.”
Finally, the ‘highlight’ of this makeup look, the lips were also glossy and finished with a touch of Rabanne’s Glowie gloss, with ‘sparkling pearls’ that subtly tint the lips.

“We end up brushing the brows, filling in gaps if necessary. We’re not looking for them to be too specific, but we definitely want them to be neat,” he said.
