With the arrival of the deadline set by the members of NewJeans live, ADOR spoke out about the artists’ demands. Check it out!
This Wednesday, the 25th, marks the deadline set by the members of NewJeans for HYBE to reinstate Min Hee Jin in the position of CEO of ADOR, the company responsible for managing the group’s career. The demand was made by the artists in a live broadcast on September 11th where, in addition to the request, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein They also expressed their discontent with the conglomerate and the agency’s new management.
With that, ADOR released a statement this morning (via Soompi), announcing that an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders has been called to Hee Jin be reappointed as internal director, but not as CEO, as requested by the girl group.
Check out the translation of the full statement:
“ADOR has decided to call an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to reappoint Min Hee Jin as an inside director at today’s board meeting.
Earlier, on the morning of September 11, ADOR had already proposed to Director Min Hee Jin to take over the production of NewJeans for the next five years. This period covers the entire remaining duration of the NewJeans contract.
However, ADOR’s board of directors discussed and decided that the request for her to return as CEO is not acceptable at this time.
Given that the basic guarantees regarding its position, duration and authority as the responsible producer for NewJeans have been established, we expect that further negotiations on specific conditions will take place in the future.
The details discussed at today’s board meeting and various questions were provided in detail via email to NewJeans members.”
It is worth remembering that, last Tuesday, 24th, it was reported by the South Korean portal Ilgan Sports (via Koreaboo) that the quintet held a meeting on Monday, 23rd, with the current Executive Director of the agency, the HR (human resources) specialist, Ju Young Kim.
According to the outlet, the meeting was attended by the five members alongside their parents, where the points raised in the live were discussed again, while Ju Young Kim maintained the policy and position of the ADOR company. The outcome of the conversation was not disclosed.
