Gladiator II was written by David Scarpa, based on a story created by Peter Craig.
Paramount Pictures released the second trailer for Gladiator II, directed by Ridley Scott.
The film takes place decades after the events of the first film. The plot centers on the grandson of the former Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius Lucius, who falls into slavery after an invasion led by the Roman general Marcus Acacia. Lucius followed Maximus’ example and turned his attention to gladiatorial combat.
The film will be released on November 22, 2024. By the way, Scott plans to film two more parts of Gladiator. Their premieres are planned for 2026 and 2027.
It was previously reported that Netflix showed the first footage from the filming of the second season of the series on Wednesday, which will be released in 2025.
