The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to seriously reduce government funding for Goskino next year.
By 2025, the budget of the State Film Agency of Ukraine is expected to be reduced by almost 70%. This was stated on Monday, September 16, in the state budget bill No. 12000.
In particular, the document provides for a 69.2% reduction in funding for the structure.
Thus, it is proposed to provide 204.1 million UAH for the State Agency for Cinematography in 2025, of which 30.4 million UAH – for leadership and management in the field of cinematography and 173.7 million UAH – for state support of cinematography, in particular documenting military crimes.
It should be noted that in 2024, 663.4 million UAH were allocated from the state budget to Goskino, of which 28.7 million UAH – for leadership and management in the field of cinematography and 634.7 million UAH – for state support in cinematography, including documentation of war crimes. .
The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Marina Kuderchuk from the position of head of the State Film Agency.
