Netflix is adapting Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight into an animated series Midnight Sun, retelling the story from the perspective of Edward Cullen.

The animated series was first reported in April 2023, while the project was still in early development under Lionsgate Television. In March 2024, Lionsgate vice chairman Michael Burns confirmed that it would be an animated series. The project has now been moved to Netflix.
The series will be written and executive produced by Sinead Daly, with Stephenie Meyer and Megan Gibbett also serving as executive producers.
It was previously reported that the film company Warner Bros. The images present the debut trailer for the movie based on the Minecraft game.
