Discover which animations produced by Pixar studios are expected to hit theaters and streaming in the coming years
In mid-June of this year, “Inside Out 2” began to occupy several time slots in movie theaters around the world to present the sequel to the story released by Pixar in 2015, in which the public can visit the control room of Riley’s brain, whose mind is controlled by five emotions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust, which, when they become agitated when the girl moves to another city, end up getting her into trouble.
The new production follows Riley in a new phase, as she is now thirteen years old and faces the arrival of puberty, her two best friends changing schools, the desire to join the hockey team, and of course, the arrival of new emotions (Anxiety, Shame, Boredom and Envy), which will put the harmony of the control room at risk and make her face new problems.
The film is set to leave the big screen and go to the Disney+ streaming service later this month, raising a new question: which new Pixar films will be released? RECREIO has gathered the answer below with a list of all the upcoming releases already confirmed by Pixar; see:
Elio
Confirmed on September 10, 2022 during Disney’s fan convention, D23 Expo, Elio won the first teaser on June 13, 2023, where the title was expected to premiere in 2024, but after a postponement, it was confirmed that the plot will hit theaters on June 13, 2025.
The plot, which has science fiction and adventure as its main genres, follows Elio, a boy who ends up being transported to an interplanetary organization with representatives from distant galaxies, where he was accidentally named the leader of Earth, causing him to experience impressive situations far from home.
Hoppers
Also announced at D23, but held on August 9th of this year, Pixar announced the production of “Hoppers”, a production in which a girl receives a rather peculiar brain transplant, since from then on she will live with the mind of a beaver.
Toy Story 5
Scheduled to premiere on June 19, 2026, “Toy Story 5” will see the return of Woody, Buzz, Jessie and all of Bonnie’s dolls, but this time dealing with a challenge never explored before: competition from electronic toys.

The third installment of the ‘The Incredibles’ franchise was confirmed at this year’s D23 held in Anaheim, California, in the United States. Synopsis, cast members, production and release date have not yet been revealed, but the film’s logo was posted on Pixar’s social media.
It is worth mentioning that there are titles that are also in the studio’s plans, but which have not yet been confirmed for production, such as “Finding Nemo 3” and “Monsters Inc. 2”, which were commented on by the filmmaker.Pete Docter (Inside Out) in an interview with EW, where he stated that ideas are being sought for both sequels.
In addition to cinema releases, Pixar is also working on productions for TV and streaming, which are:
Win or Lose
Set to hit Disney+ on December 6 of this year, “Win or Lose” will follow the Pickles, a co-ed high school softball team, in the week leading up to the championship game, with each episode set to feature a different main character.
Dream Productions
A spin-off series from the “Inside Out” franchise, the title “Dream Productions” will be released in a mockumentary style, that is, it will bring the same characteristics of a real documentary to tell a fictional story, in this case, narratives of the place where Riley’s dreams and nightmares are created.
