Actress Anya Taylor-Joy said in a recent interview that she would like to play Princess Elsa from ‘Frozen’ in a possible live-action film.
In a recent interview with Vogue Hong Kong, the actress Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga) revealed that, if Disney announces a live-action film inspired by the animation “Frozen”, she would be in line to play the protagonist Elsa.
“Frozen would be amazing, I think I’d have fun shooting ice out of my hands,” Anya says. “Not to mention I’d be the favorite at my family’s children’s parties. All my siblings have kids now, and it would be great for my nieces to be able to say, ‘My aunt is Elsa!'”
The actress also adds that, in addition to pleasing her nieces, participating in a possible live-action version of “Frozen” would also give her the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream: starring in a musical.
“I want to do it because I’m kind of obsessed with those challenges. Singing, dancing and acting at the same time? That would definitely be a challenge,” Taylor-Joy explained.
It is worth remembering that, so far, Disney has not revealed any plans to produce a live-action version of the story about sisters Elsa and Anna. For now, what has been confirmed are the third and fourth films in the franchise, which are being produced at the same time, according to reports from the director. Jennifer Lee to Fandango (via Omelete).
While “Frozen 4” does not yet have a release date, “Frozen 3” is scheduled to hit theaters on November 24, 2027.
