Victoria Beckham slams host Chris Evans for once making her weigh herself on TV

In a regular issue of the Australian edition of the magazine fashionVictoria Beckham returned to television in a moment that was, to say the least, surprising and embarrassing to experience in the late 1990s. On Channel 4, the Spice Girls member was encouraged by the presenter to weigh herself live. The goal? “50 kilograms is not bad at all, is it?”

On the set of the program, Victoria Beckham is questioned by the presenter about her appearance. “I had just had Brooklyn and I lost a lot of weight after that,” she says. Then the moderator asks him: “a lot of girls want to know because you’re fantastic again, how did you find your shape after giving birth?” Victoria Beckham replies that she is lazy and did not go to the gym. Chris Evans claims: “Is your weight back to normal?” “Can I check, do you mind?” The host then forced him to get on the scale and threw it at him. “50 kilos, not bad at all, right?”

The media’s obsession with her body

In the 2000s, Victoria Beckham said that the media was obsessed with her figure. “I got different nicknames like ‘Posh Piglet’ or even ‘Skeletal Posh’. After I had Brooklyn, there was a photo that showed all the parts of my body that I needed to focus on to lose weight.”
