One way for fans to feel closer to the artists they admire is to find out what these celebrities do when they are away from the spotlight. Among the favorite pastimes of K-pop idols, such as the members of NCT, for example, is cinema, since NCTzen (the group’s fandom) has accumulated an extensive list of feature films recommended by the members of the group in live streams, fan meetings or interviews, over the years.
With that in mind, RECREIO selected 5 films recommended by NCT that fans can’t miss:
1. Avatar
Recommended many times by Renjun“Avatar” (2009) is a science fiction film that presents a whole new universe by introducing Pandora, a moon whose environment is toxic to humans, but which, due to the resources that can be explored by Earth, ends up being invaded, as scientists have created avatars so that people can freely roam the alien planet and discover how to extract everything they want from there to take to the Blue Planet.
This story introduces Jake Sully, a human sent to Pandora by an avatar who ends up infiltrating and discovering more about the local culture. Living as a true Na’vi, that is, a member of the Pandora jungle tribe, he falls in love with the planet and decides to leave his mission on Earth to fight for the survival of the alien planet.
Directed by James Cameronthe plot won three categories at the 2010 Oscars: Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects and Best Art Direction.

2. (500) Days of Summer
Assisted by Jaehyun and Doyoung“(500) Days of Summer” was released in 2009 under the command of Mark Webb. The film follows Tom, a greeting card writer who ends up falling in love with his co-worker Summer, with whom he experiences several romantic moments until she suddenly dismisses him, causing him to remember the 500 days by her side to try to discover the reason why she chose not to stay by his side anymore.

3. Avengers: Endgame
Like a good Marvel, Yuta chose “Avengers: Endgame” as his favorite Marvel movie, inspiring not only fans but his own former bandmate, Shotarowho is now part of RIIZE, to watch the feature film.
Coming to theaters in 2019 under the command of the brothers Anthony and Joe Russothe title is a direct sequel to “Avengers: Infinity War”, released in 2018, and is set after Thanos’ blip that eliminated half of living creatures. Thus, in the plot, the surviving Avengers unite to restore the multiverse and save their teammates deteriorated by the villain.

4. 300
In a Vlive broadcast in 2021, Yangyang revealed that he wrote the track “Leonidas” while watching the film ‘300’, released in 2006. Directed by Zack Snyderthe plot addresses the Battle of Thermopylae, where 300 Spartans faced the enormous Persian army.

5. Baby Driver
Watched several times by Jaehyun and Yuta“Baby Driver”, or “Em Ritmo de Fuga” in Portuguese, was released in 2017 by the filmmaker Edgar Wright. The film follows Baby, a talented getaway driver who is always accompanied by his headphones while doing his dubious job. But, after meeting the woman of his dreams, Baby decides he wants to change his life, and gets involved with a powerful crime boss in order to do his last big job before retiring from the dangerous routes, but everything goes wrong along the way.
