The French film star died at the age of 88 in his own home. The children reported his death.
The famous French actor Alain Delon died at the age of 88. BFM reported this on August 18, citing a press release from the children of the star to AFP.
Delon “died peacefully at home.” The family did not provide other details about the death and asked for privacy “in this very painful moment of mourning.”
A month earlier, the actor’s daughter Anushka Delon showed photos of her seriously ill father, who was diagnosed with cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. The woman added that the photos were taken with her father’s approval.
In addition to Anushka, Delon has two sons – Anthony and Alain-Fabien.
Previously, the actor’s son said that his father was thinking about euthanasia. Delon himself admitted that he considered this choice as “logical and natural,” noting that at that age a person “has the right to leave this world quietly, without hospitals and injections.”
We remind you that in 2019 the actor suffered two strokes, after which his health condition worsened significantly. In January 2024, the court declared Delon incompetent, and in April placed him under enhanced care.
