Broadcaster JTBC has apologized on national television in South Korea after the mistake with the fake images of BTS’ Suga.
On the morning of this Friday, the 16th, it was reported by the South Korean media that the broadcaster JTBC formally apologized after the mistake with the images released of the incident involving Sucksfrom BTS, driving an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol.
Through the newspaper “Newsroom”, the channel said that, after police investigations, they recognize that the images were not of the idol, but of another citizen who was passing through that area:
“Our newsroom reported on the incident involving BTS member Suga, who was caught driving under the influence of alcohol on August 7. In the first part of our report, we showed security camera footage of an electric scooter driving along a main road. It was later confirmed through police investigations that the man in the video was not Suga. We apologize for the confusion.”
