The second official trailer for “Mufasa: The Lion King” was also accompanied by a new poster for the film, which will be released later this year.
This year’s edition of D23 in Anaheim, California, United States, an event dedicated to revealing new developments from the Disney label, brought another trailer for “Mufasa: The Lion King” on the first day of the event, held last Friday, the 9th.
The preview reveals details about Simba’s father’s origins, showing his rise to the title of King of the Jungle, as well as his relationship with his brother, Scar; see above!
In addition to the video preview, the century-old studio also revealed a new poster that highlights the brothers who were introduced in “The Lion King”, a film released in 1994.
The original dubbing cast for the new Disney film includes: Aaron Pierre (Time) as the voice to Mufasa; Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Trial of the Chicago 7) as Taka, better known as Scar; Beyoncé Knowles-Carter reprising the role of Nala, while her daughter, Blue Ivy Carterwill be Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala.
With songs by Lin-Manuel Mirandadirection Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) and script written by Jeff Nathanson“Mufasa: The Lion King” is scheduled to premiere in Brazilian cinemas on December 19th of this year.
