According to Korean media, aespa’s Karina will be one of the next idols to appear on the variety show “MY ARTi FILM”
According to broadcaster Mnet (via Soompi), the member Karinafrom aespa, will be one of the next idols to appear on “MY ARTi FILM”, a variety show where K-pop artists are challenged to act in various film genres, such as suspense, romance or comedy. The episodes also contain dance performances that reinterpret scenes from famous films, combining South Korean pop with the seventh art.
Karina will take on the noir action genre, where she will play a strong and independent character who faces off against a criminal, showing a new side of herself that is not seen on stage. The artist commented that she is excited to hear what fans think of her performance:
I enjoyed becoming the protagonist of a noir action piece, which I normally only watch. I hope viewers appreciate it and enjoy seeing this new side of me.”
Recently, “MY ARTi FILM” featured the participation of other well-known idols, such as Sunwoofrom THE BOYZ, and Julie It is Nattyby KISS OF LIFE, who will debut on the show during the August 13th episode.
“MY ARTi FILM” airs every Tuesday at 9pm on Mnet, but for fans in the West, it is possible to watch the episodes through the broadcaster’s YouTube channel.
