The following morning, the BLACKPINK members were invited to return to Buckingham Palace to be honored with the titles of Honorary Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), as a way of recognizing the idols’ work as COP26 Advocates at the COP26 Summit, held in Glasgow in 2021.
The honors were delivered by hand by the king Charles IIIwith the handover ceremony being attended by the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeoland the First Lady, Kim Keon Hee.
