(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon has opened up about the alleged diss towards Cube Entertainment during her last concert with the girl group.
This Tuesday, August 6th, Soyeon has opened up on social media following the incident at her latest show for (G)I-DLE’s “iDOL” tour. During her solo performance, the girl group leader rapped about her contract ending in November, in addition to using explicit language, which raised concerns among fans about the group’s future.
Despite Cube Entertainment’s statement saying that “the lyrics of Jeon Soyeon were just part of the performance”, fans are still concerned about the idol’s supposed indirect message to the agency, which made her address the issue herself through Instagram stories; see:
My first concern is always how to make people happy.
My second concern is how to make our team happier.
Sometimes this leads to moments that feel too provocative or works that don’t receive positive reactions.
However, I do not lie, harm anyone, or intentionally engage in actions that might offend my conscience.In this performance too.
I did not write any lies or hide anything from the company.
We rehearsed dozens of times in front of everyone and created the stage together.Having worked together for over 10 years, I have no negative feelings towards the company based solely on articles published in the press.
Because words, if conveyed slightly incorrectly, can change their intended meaning.
However, this situation appears to be yet another reminder of our company’s inadequacy in responding to such situations.
I will also do my part so that we can grow together and I hope that any uncomfortable feelings you may have, such as worry or hatred, can subside a little.
