1. Wonder Man
Yes, you read that right. Wonder Man exists and he’s from Marvel! Also known as Magnum, his real name is Simon Williams, and he’s the son of industrialist Sanford Williams, and the younger brother of Eric Williams, the Grim Reaper. He gained his ionic powers from Baron Zemo, with whom he was an ally, and joined the Avengers with the intention of carrying out a trap devised by his partner. However, he realized that the action wasn’t right and apparently died trying to save the other heroes.
2. Tigress
Tigress first appeared in 1972 as one of Marvel’s attempts to create a comic book series with female characters created by women and with girls as the target audience. Greer Grant Nelson was a laboratory assistant working on a project that aimed to develop the human mind and body. One day, she was exposed to radiation and ended up gaining powers very similar to those of felines, adopting the name “The Cat”.
3. Captain Britain
Captain Britain, or Brian Baddock, is a member of the X-Men and is the twin brother of fellow mutant Psylocke. He was created in 1976 and initially only appeared in UK comics, being unknown to the rest of the world and not even considered to be part of the Marvel universe. It was only in 1978 that one of his creators, writer Chris Claremont, introduced him to the world and had Brian meet Spider-Man in one of the stories. His main characteristic is that his powers work according to his emotions, with abilities ranging from enormous strength to high speed.
4. Hyperion
Launched in 1969, Hyperion is also known as Marvel’s Superman. This is because the character was actually created based on the DC Comics hero. Just like Clark Kent, he was sent to Earth-13034 when he was still a baby, being the only surviving Eternal, a race of super-powered people originating from a world that no longer exists. The big difference between the characters is that Hyperion did not become a hero right away. Before, he had acted as a villain until he got close to the Avengers and changed sides.
5. Spectrum
Also known as Monica Rambeau, she is one of the most powerful within the MCU, she was once a member of the Avengers, and was even referred to as Captain Marvel by the press. Her first appearance in the comics was in 1982, and she ended up receiving her powers after being exposed to the energy of an extra-dimensional generator, gaining the ability to also convert her body into energy.
