Food, sleep, sports, social connections… What if we used the holidays to refresh our box of good ideas?
Like air
Mastering square breathing is good, but isn’t the most important thing going into our lungs? “Approximately 80% of the population in developed countries lives in urban areas and has lost touch with nature,” recalls Linda Akesson McGurk, who signs: Life in the great outdoors by Éditions de l’Homme. He invites us to discover Nordic art friluftsliv, in other words, life in the fresh air, which is very popular in the Nordic countries. The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency claims that it is about “spending time outdoors, in a natural or cultural context, for personal well-being and experiencing nature without pressure or a competitive spirit”. Take a moonlight walk around the neighborhood, go backpacking for a few days, sleep under the stars in your garden or on your patio, walk barefoot on the grass or sand to stimulate your nerve endings… Alone, in a group or with family, on foot, by bike or kayak…
