DreamWorks Animation studio confirmed the release of the fifth part of the cult cartoon Shrek.
It is known that the film will be released on July 1, 2026, 16 years after the release of the fourth part. The fifth part is a direct continuation of the previous cartoons.
The actors who voiced the characters before will return to their roles: Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz. Walt Dohrn will direct after working as a screenwriter on the second and third installments about the green ogre.
