What are all the Pixar movies?

See all 28 animated feature films produced by the Pixar Animation Studios label

In the animation market for about four decades, Pixar Animation Studios emerged independently on February 3, 1986, after Steve Jobs become the main shareholder of the company.

At the time, the studio only produced commercials and short films, but everything changed in 1991, when they signed a contract with Disney to develop the first feature-length animation using the Computer Animation Production System (CAPS) Software.

Thus came “Toy Story”, which, released in 1995, became the first computer-generated film in the history of cinema, a feat that earned the animation an Oscar for Special Contribution, an honor from the Academy Awards that recognizes the importance of the technique that, since then, has become the main method of making animations.

It is worth remembering that the title directed by the filmmaker John Lasseterwhich features puppets that come to life when humans are not around, was also nominated in three categories of the award that delivers golden statuettes, including Best Screenplay, becoming the first animation to compete in this category.

From ‘Toy Story’ onwards, Pixar was able to grow as a studio, establishing new partnerships with Disney such as ‘A Bug’s Life’ (1998), ‘Monsters Inc.’ (2001), ‘Finding Nemo’ (2003) and ‘The Incredibles’ (2004), until it was definitively purchased by the company founded by Roy It is Walt Disney in 2006, releasing another series of hits such as ‘Cars’ (2006), ‘Ratatouille’ (2007), ‘Up’ (2009) and many others.

In total, Pixar has released 28 feature films, the most recent on the list being ‘Inside Out 2’, released on June 20th of this year to follow Riley after her 13th birthday, having to deal with her two best friends changing schools, her desire to join the hockey team — and of course the arrival of four new emotions: Anxiety, Envy, Shame and Boredom.
