Check out some of the Easter eggs present in ‘Inside Out 2’, the latest release from Disney and Pixar in theaters worldwide
On June 20, “Inside Out 2” hit theaters, a sequel to the classic Disney and Pixar film released in 2015, which takes us back into the head of Riley, who is now 13 years old and will need to face big changes with the beginning of adolescence, including the arrival of new emotions.
Just like every Pixar film, the new film is full of Easter eggs, from the most explicit to the well-hidden ones, where only the most attentive can notice. With that in mind, RECREIO brought five Easter eggs present in “Inside Out 2” for you to pay attention to!
1. 4*TOWN
As a teenager, Riley begins a phase that many people go through: a passion for boy bands. As a result, her bedroom wall becomes covered in posters of her favorite singers, one of which is 4* TOWN, a boy band featured in the 2022 film “Red: Growing Up is a Beast”.
2. Mount Crushmore
As Joy and the other emotions search for their way back to the control center to stop Anxiety from transforming Riley into someone else, they end up arriving at Mount Crushmore, a reference to the tourist attraction Mount Rushmore in the United States, where four former presidents of the country are carved.

However, in the film version, the pile features the girl’s four biggest crushes, one of which is Jordan, a boy introduced in the 2015 short film “Riley’s First Date,” where we see the protagonist go on her first date with a boy.
3. Toy Story Binoculars
Early in the film, some of Riley’s changes as she enters adolescence are already presented — such as the change in size of the Personality Islands. While in the first film Family Island was the largest, now Friendship Island has taken its place and occupies the largest space.

Upon noticing this change, Sadness says that he can’t find Family Island, and Joy gives him a pair of binoculars so that he can see. It turns out that the binoculars in question have the same design as Lenny’s from “Toy Story”.
4. Bing Bong
Bing Bong was Riley’s imaginary friend when she was little, introduced in the first film. As the girl grew up, he ended up being forgotten, generating one of the saddest scenes in the 2015 film. However, even though his return is unlikely, he is still honored in the new production. That’s because you can see a small doll of him next to Joy’s bed while she sleeps.

5. T-shirt number

As soon as the film begins, the first Easter egg is introduced, but many people may not have noticed it. In the very first scene, we see Riley getting ready to play hockey for the Foghorns, his hometown team, where he wears the number 28 jersey. It turns out that this number wasn’t placed there randomly. It actually makes reference to the franchise itself, since “Inside Out 2” is the 28th film released by Pixar.
