Find out if the renowned actor Jackie Chan participated in the production of “The Adventures of Jackie Chan”, an animation inspired by him
In the late 90s and early 2000s, one of the most popular Hollywood actors in the industry was Jackie Chan. Starting his career on the big screen in his native Hong Kong, he gained popularity in the West thanks to his action and comedy films, including titles such as “Rush Hour” (1998), “The $2 Billion Suit” (2002), “The Karate Kid” (2010), and many more.
His popularity became so great that, in the year 2000, he ended up getting his own animation: “The Adventures of Jackie Chan”, produced by Sony Pictures Television, and which gained fame in Brazil for being part of the schedule of the program TV Globinho, on Rede Globo, since 2002.
The drawing, however, does not portray real life. Chan and, in fact, he didn’t count much on his participation, as pointed out by the Legião dos Heróis portal. Jackie He even worked as an executive producer and recorded some scenes, in addition to relying on small details from his life as inspiration, however, the voice of his own character was given by another man, the voice actor James Sie.
In the animation, Jackie Chan is also a martial arts fighter, however, he is not an actor: he is an archaeologist who searches for 12 talismans that can cause enormous destruction, to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands. In addition, another clear difference between the production and real life is the age: while the Chan The animated film has 35, the real one already had 51 at the time.
Another different point that is important to highlight is the origin of the two Jackie, since, in real life, the artist was born and raised in Hong Kong, while the character was from the United States. Jade, his niece who is always by his side on his adventures, and Uncle, who is another name responsible for helping him in the search, also do not exist, and were created just for the drawing.

“Jackie Chan Adventures” lasted five seasons, totaling 95 episodes, and officially ended in 2005. However, even without new episodes, the animation continued to be re-run on TV Globinho, as it was loved by children. Today, it can be found in a few places on the internet.
But where is Jackie Chan?
In 2018, the star decided to take a break from Hollywood productions to dedicate himself to his work as a director, producer and actor in Hong Kong films. Chan revealed the reason for the decision during his participation in the Chinese reality show Memories Beyond Horizon. At the time, he said:
“When I went to the US to film, there were a lot of words I couldn’t pronounce correctly and that made things difficult. No one recognized how well I fought. They only cared that my English pronunciation was good.”
