Queen Camilla revealed her husband’s health during an exchange with British author Lee Child at the Queen’s Reading Room during the Reading Festival on June 8. “He’s fine, except he won’t slow down and do what he’s told,” she replied rather angrily. “Typical husband,” the author teased in front of him.

King Charles announced he was suffering from “a form of cancer” in February 2024 before taking time off from public life. But since April, the sovereign has returned to work. On April 30, he went to a cancer patient’s bedside and said he was “doing well.”
He was hospitalized a few days ago
The 76-year-old sovereign also made his first official visit abroad since the cancer announcement. On June 6, he was in Normandy to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. He appeared very emotional and gave a speech in French to “pay special tribute to the greatest tragedy of the landing”.
