5 Times Disney Characters Got Really Lucky

Remember some moments in Disney films where the characters counted on luck to get through difficult situations!

In Disney films, we learn that everything happens for a reason. Whether through magical elements or the characters’ willpower, we are always encouraged to root for challenges to be overcome. But, at certain times, luck also plays a fundamental role, especially when the situation presents no viable escape.

With that in mind, RECREIO listed 5 times where Disney characters saved their own skins through luck; check out!

1. The Moving Truck in “Toy Story”

In the first film in the “Toy Story” franchise, protagonists Woody and Buzz had to act quickly to catch up with the moving truck that was heading towards Andy’s new home. Luckily for both of them, Buzz was still tied to one of the rockets that Sid — Andy’s delinquent neighbor — attached to his back, allowing the two of them to float to their destination.

2. The aquarium filter in “Finding Nemo”

To help his friends escape from the dentist’s aquarium in Sydney, Nemo agreed to use his small size to stop the water filter with a rock. On the first attempt, Nemo almost got stuck inside the tube he needed to pass through to get out of the aquarium’s internal system, but, luckily, he was rescued by the others with a long plant that managed to pull him out.

3. The Glass Slipper in “Cinderella”

In her rush to escape the ball before the fairy godmother’s spell wore off, Cinderella ended up leaving a glass slipper behind. The prince, who danced with the young woman all night, but didn’t even know her name, was lucky enough to find her after the conflict through the lost shoe.

4. Rapunzel’s dream in “Tangled”

Rapunzel kept wondering when her life would begin and when she would be able to see the long-awaited “floating lights” that only appeared on her birthday. Luckily for her, Flynn Ryder, the kingdom’s most wanted thief, was on the run from the palace guards, and ended up hiding in his tower. If it weren’t for him, Rapunzel would never have gone out to explore the world and wouldn’t have discovered that, in fact, she was a lost princess.

5. The taste of Ego’s Childhood in “Ratatouille”

It is a fact that Remy’s culinary skills are the result of a lot of talent and dedication. But sometimes, it takes more than that to please the palate of the most demanding. In one of the final scenes of “Ratatouille”, Remy prepared a portion of the dish that gives the film its name to serve the harsh critic Anton Ego, as the restaurant depended on his evaluation to stand out again. Through one luck-filled bite, Ego was transported back to his childhood, where, through Remy’s dish, he was reminded of his own mother’s cooking.
