In November 2016, Prince Harry publicly defended Meghan Markle, then his girlfriend, in a press release against the media, denouncing a spate of harassment. The announcement has since been removed from the royal family’s official website.

For seven years, this press release remained in the official announcements section of the official website of the British royal family, royal.uk. But it is no longer available.
