CEO of HYBE and public relations executives of the corporation have exposed behavior towards the parents of NewJeans members
This Tuesday, the 28th, the South Korean portal Ilgan Sports revealed that HYBE executives are pressuring several media outlets to write articles that harm the image of the CEO of ADOR, Min Hee Jin.
Furthermore, the same portal also stated that HYBE had lost the trust of the parents of NewJeans members after a meeting where the corporation’s CEO, Park Ji Won, just pretended to care about the girlgroup; check out the translated report:
Furthermore, this report is what made the NewJeans members’ parents lose faith in HYBE. Three of the members’ parents met with HYBE CEO Park Ji Won and the label’s executives. After explaining the allegations (of plagiarism), HYBE told parents not to share the news with their daughters as it could harm them. However, just 1 hour after the meeting, the articles were released. Afterwards, the members’ parents felt they could no longer trust HYBE after pretending to care about their daughters just to release the articles themselves.
If HYBE had planned to regain the trust of NewJeans parents after Min Hee Jin’s departure, they would not have released these articles.
This is not the first time that HYBE and the parents of NewJeans members have clashed. Previously, Bang Si Hyuk, owner of the conglomerate, was accused of ignoring a greeting from the girl group in an elevator. Speculation from other South Korean portals states that the action was not intentional, but the case happened after Min Hee Jin being accused of taking full control of the record label ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE which, coincidentally, also manages NewJeans’ career.
