The “How to Train Your Dragon” animation franchise is made up of three films, released between 2010 and 2019, based on the children’s book series of the same name, by the author Cressida Crowell. In the story, we follow the protagonist Hiccup, a young Viking who does not have the ability to fight dragons, as the tradition of his people dictates. His life changes when he helps a dragon considered deadly by the Vikings, proving that dragons and humans can be friends.
Announced in February 2023, the live-action film began filming in May, about a month before the Hollywood actors’ strike. Previously scheduled for March 12, 2025, the film is now only scheduled to open on June 13, 2025, distributed by Universal Pictures.
