In an interview with UOL, Noah Cyrus opened up about the media exposure he faced during his childhood due to his famous family
American actress and singer Noah Cyrus will come to Brazil next Sunday to perform at C6 Fest, an event that will take place at Parque Ibirapuera, in São Paulo, between the 17th and 19th of May. The sister of Miley Cyrus makes up the line-up for the last day of the event, and shared in an exclusive interview with Splash UOL about his expectations for his first visit to the country.
“I think I went to Brazil when I was younger. I have a vague memory of going with my family when I was a kid (…) I hope it’s amazing for everyone and that I can meet as many people as possible. It’s my first show here, and I think I’ll be impressed.
I want to enjoy every moment, but we don’t have much time. To experience all the beautiful culture and tourist attractions, I would have to come back more often.”
During the interview, Noah He also commented a little about his personal life. As the youngest in a family that was already surrounded by fame since her childhood, the artist revealed that she feels uncomfortable growing up in the spotlight, and that she would like her childhood to be “a little more protected”.
Growing up with that exposure sucked. Now it’s gone, right? I would have liked my childhood to have been a little more sheltered (…) I had to work on loving and not hating my younger self. My face was online, and people were so cruel to me, when I was at an age where they shouldn’t have been. That was the most painful thing.”

Noah has already made some appearances alongside Miley Cyrus in the Disney series Hannah Montana, but the artist says that “music is the passion of her life”, and that she does not intend to return to acting. The only work she remembers fondly is the animation “Ponyo”, in which she dubbed the protagonist’s voice.
