The iconic cartoon character, ‘Dora the Explorer’, will have a second film in live-action format. Know more!
According to information released by The Hollywood Reporter, the actress Samatha Lorraine will play the famous heroine Dora, the explorer, in the new film “Dora and the Search for the Golden Sun”. The film, directed by Alberto Belli and written by JT Billingswill follow the protagonist, her cousin Diego and her new friends as they face the dangers in the Amazon jungle and keep enemies away from the ancient treasure of Sol Dourado.
This will be the second time that the character appears in live-action format to the public. The actress Isabella Merced he already played the same role in 2019, in the film “Dora and the Lost City”.
The educational animation “Dora the Explorer” follows the challenges of a seven-year-old girl involved in an environment full of forests, beaches and jungles, where she needs to face the challenges along the way alongside her best friend, a little monkey called Boots. The cartoon was broadcast on Nickelodeon in the early 2000s, marking the childhood of many children who grew up at that time.
In the live action film “Dora and the Lost City”, the character, already a teenager, finds herself faced with a mystery that involves the lost city of Parapata, in the forests of Peru. As much as Dora’s personality presents traits of animation, the film has a character aimed more at children and young people.
