Last Monday, the 6th, MET Gala 2024 took place, a renowned philanthropic event held annually on the first Monday in May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York, with the aim of raising funds for the museum’s fashion department.
In this year, Jennie, from BLACKPINK, made her second appearance at the ceremony. In 2023, the idol represented the Chanel brand, however, for this year, she was a VIP guest, being called by the organizer herself, Anna Wintoureditor-in-chief of Vogue magazine and responsible for the MET Gala for 29 years, as reported by the Koreaboo portal.
For the main event, Jennie was dressed in a glamorous blue dress customized by the brand alaïa, designed by the stylist Pieter Mulier, as revealed to the artist in Vogue magazine. According to the star, the piece took around eight days to be completely finished.
For the after party, the idol wore an entirely black look, also made by alaïa, accompanied by a beautiful furry coat. Look!
K-pop at the Met Gala
In addition to Jennie, the MET Gala 2024 was also attended by another big K-pop star: the boy group Stray Kids. The group, formed by JYP Entertainment, made its debut at the event, representing the Tommy Hilfiger brand.
