The American model and Gigi Hadid’s sister has opened up about improving her mental health after leaving everything behind to settle in Texas.
For nearly a year, we’ve seen more photos of Bella Hadid on horseback than magazine covers on her Instagram account. And for good reason, at the age of 27, the American model retired (unofficially) from the catwalks to leave for a quieter life in Texas. in an interview with the magazine Temptation published on April 30, the young woman spoke about this choice, especially motivated by the desire to take better care of her physical and mental health. “After ten years of modeling, I realized that I was putting so much energy, love and effort into something that, in the long run, wasn’t necessarily going to pay me back,” she told the US magazine. The face of many campaigns for many fashion houses such as Dior, Versace, Lanvin, Moschino and Burberry to name a few, Bella Hadid has also been on the covers of major magazines. But all this is to the detriment of his well-being.

“If I don’t feel well, I won’t go.”
Gigi Hadid’s sister had actually already revealed her battle with Lyme disease, causing symptoms like severe headaches, muscle pain, or even problems with memory or thinking. On this subject, she confides in the US magazine that “the last few weeks have been difficult” and describes her recovery as “really non-linear”, a “roller coaster”. But her new path in life, away from rhinestones and glitter, surrounded by her friends and her new boyfriend, 35-year-old rider Adan Banuelos, whose relationship she made official in October 2023, is clearly having a very positive effect on her mental health. “For the first time, I’m not pretending,” says Bella Hadid. It also describes a healthier, less shallow social life. “If I don’t feel good, I don’t go,” she adds. If I’m not feeling well, I take time for myself. I never had a chance to do it or say it. Now when people see me in photos and say I look happy, it turns out I really am. I feel better; my bad days now match the good days I used to have.”
The model, however, is back in the spotlight. Bella Hadid actually promotes her perfume line, Ôrəbella, pronounced “aura-bella.” Oil-based fragrances to be used on the skin only are available for pre-order on the relevant website.
