In an exclusive interview with the South Korean portal Hankook Ilbo, Yvesa member of LOONA, revealed that he will make his long-awaited solo debut in May, and that he is currently working on finishing his songs.
“I’m preparing for my solo debut in May. I intended to release it before the summer, but some good songs have been released and the work is progressing well, so I think I will be able to meet my fans sooner,” said Yves.
As the only member of LOONA who has not yet released a new release since the end of the contracts with Blockberry Creative, the company responsible for forming the group, the soloist stated during the interview that she has received a lot of support from the members, and that they are all very excited .
“All the members tell me a lot that they’re looking forward to it. I’m the kind of person who worries a lot, but they support me by saying things like, ‘You’re going to do great,’ and they give me strength because they know me better than they do. It’s also a big driving force. These days, we still keep in touch and have a group chat room. Everywhere we go, the kids call me ‘leader.’
It is worth remembering that, since the end of 2022, all 12 members of LOONA filed a lawsuit against Blockberry Creative to suspend their contracts with the company, due to lack of payment and abusive clauses.
