Unfortunately for fans of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, Paramount postponed the release of the first live-action film under the brand’s banner; know more!

To the sadness of fans of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, Paramount, which had previously stated that it was working on a film franchise about the animation, postponed the premiere of the first feature film. According to Comicbook, the first production, announced for 2025, should only hit theaters in 2026.

Furthermore, at the time of publishing this news, no information about the cast, story or production team of the franchise has been released. Previously, Paramount revealed that the first film will show the adult version of Aang, in order not to retell his story from the beginning.

In 2010, ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ received its first live-action film in theaters. Titled ‘The Last Airbender’, the film starred Noah Ringer, like Aang, and grossed an estimated $319.7 million at the box office on a budget of $150 million. In Brazil, it is available through the Netflix streaming service.

At the end of February, Netflix also debuted a live-action version of the animation. This time, in series format, with 8 episodes of up to one hour. ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ features Gordon Cormier, Ian Ousley, Kiawentiio Tarbell, Daniel Dae Kim, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Dallas Liu and great cast.
