The first lady’s entourage denies any involvement in the series. The script will be written by writers Charles Benedict and Olivier Poupono.
The Gaumont company is planning to make a television series about the life of the first lady of France, Brigitte Macron. It was reported by Le Parisien.
It is known that the series, called Brigitte, une femme libre (Brigitte, a free woman), will consist of six 45-minute episodes.
As for the plot, it has yet to be revealed. However, according to one of the writers, the series will begin with the couple’s first meeting. The First Lady first met her future husband while he was a teacher at her school. The couple got married in 2007, when Emmanuel was 29 years old and his teacher was 54.
Brigitte continued teaching but quit in 2015 when her husband entered politics and was elected president two years later.
The cast is not yet known, but the script will be written by Bénédicte Charles and Olivier Pouponneau.
“Brigitte Macron is attractive as an image And because of a romantic nature of her fate, we definitely wanted to present her character in a romantic way, rather even in a melodramatic one,” said Benedict Charles.
It was previously reported that a series about Denmark’s former Queen Margrethe II was in the works. It will be dedicated to his life and reign.
