ILLIT breaks new Billboard record with debut song ‘Magnetic’

BELIFT Lab’s new girl group ILLIT broke an impressive record with their debut; find out what happened!

ILLIT, which officially debuted in March 2024, took just three weeks to enter the Billboard Hot 100! This time, the girl group placed their single ‘Magnetic’ on the US Top Songs chart at number 91, marking their first entry on the list. Check out the MV!

With this feat, ILLIT became the first K-pop group to take their debut song to the Hot 100, becoming the ninth Korean artist overall to enter the chart. The previous record was held by girl group FIFTY FIFTY, who took four months to enter the Billboard Hot 100.

ILLIT is a South Korean girl group from BELIFT Lab, a sub-label of HYBE. It was formed from the survival program ‘RU Next?’, by HYBE in partnership with JTBC. It has 5 members, they are: Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee It is Iroha. The group would debut with 6 members, but Youngseofrom pre-debut, came out before the premiere.

In their official debut, which took place on March 25, 2024, the girl group released a mini-album. Titled ‘SUPER REAL ME’, the project has 4 songs, totaling 9 minutes. They are: ‘My World’, ‘Magnetic’, ‘Midnight Fiction’ and ‘Lucky Girl Syndrome’. Listen!
