Disney announced theatrical releases in 2024; Check out the complete list in chronological order of the studio’s new films below!
The year 2024 is one of the busiest in terms of Disney releases in cinemas. During CinemaCon, held from April 8th to 11th, the company released its release calendar for this year — this time, there are nine productions, six of which are continuations of successful franchises.
‘Inside Out 2’, ‘Moana 2’ and ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ are among the most anticipated films on the list. However, the film with the closest release date is ‘Planet of the Apes: Reign’, which hits theaters on May 10th. See the complete list of releases below!

- ‘Young Woman and the Sea’ — May 31;
- ‘Inside Out 2’ — June 14;
- ‘Kinds of Kindness’ — June 21;
- ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ — July 26;
- ‘Alien: Romulus’ — August 16;
- ‘A Real Pain’ — October 18;
- ‘Moana 2’ — November 27;
- ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ — December 20th.
For those who haven’t watched the first films in the franchises that will be continued in 2024, it is possible to find all the productions through the Disney+ streaming service. In addition, franchises such as ‘Deadpool’ are also available through Star+.
It is important to highlight that, from June 30th, Disney+ and Star+ streaming will merge, ending Star+ activities. In this way, all content on the platform will be redirected to Disney streaming, which will continue to operate and with new subscription plan options.
