Ukrainian photographer received an international award

The heroes of Elena Grom’s photo project are women who suffered as a result of the Russian invasion.

Ukrainian photographer Elena Grom with her project Stolen Spring received the international Fine Art Photography Awards 2024. This is stated on the award website.

A series of works refer to February-March 2022 – the first months of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“I live in Bucha, I work in Irpen. After the Russian occupation, these cities were destroyed. The military scene became my reality and everyday life. Every day I see people who are rebuilding their cities, their personal lives from the ruins and looking to the future,” it says in the description of a series of works by a Ukrainian photographer on the award website.
