J-Hope, from BTS, achieves unprecedented milestone as a soloist on Billboard

New Billboard record for J-Hope, from BTS, was achieved with his third solo album: “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1”; understand!

IT IS THE MOMENT! J-Hope, by BTS, reached an unprecedented milestone in his career as a soloist on Billboard. That’s because the idol’s special album, “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1”, debuted in 5th place on the Top 200 Albums chart, reaching the artist’s highest solo position on the chart.

The achievement was possible because “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1” sold 50 thousand units during the week ending April 4, a number made up of the sale of 44 thousand copies on traditional records, 4 thousand on streaming (SEA), and 2 thousand in track equivalent albums (TEA), according to Luminate (via Soompi).

It is worth remembering that, in addition to “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1”, J-Hope had already been present on the Billboard 200 with “Hope World”, an album released in 2018 that occupied position 38 in the ranking and “Jack In The Box” (2022), which reached 6th place on the chart.

“HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1” arrived on music streaming platforms on March 29, 2023 with six tracks: “on the street” (solo version), “i wonder” (featuring Jungkook), “lock/unlock” (feat. Benny Blanco, Neil Rodgers), ‘i don’t know’ (feat. LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin), “what if…” (dance mix with JINBO the SuperFreak) and “NEURON” (feat. Gaeko and Yoon Mirae).
