The official trailer for the film “House of the Word”: An Endless Romance directed by Taras Tomenko, which tells about Ukrainian writers from the times of the “realized revival,” has been released.
The film tells the story of the fate of playwrights, poets and prose writers in the 1920s and 1930s, who, by order of Stalin, were gathered under the roof of a house to force them to work in favor of the system. The artists’ refusal to cooperate turns the false communist paradise into a real hell with repressions, executions, loss of dreams and lives.
The main roles in the film were played by Vyacheslav Dovzhenko (Nikolai Khvylevoy), Andrey Isaenko (Mike Johansen), Gennady Popenko (Mikhail Semenko), Andrey May (Vladimir Sosyura), Stanislav Suknenko (Les Kurbas), Roman Yasinovsky (Grigory Epik) Boris Georgievsky, Dmitry Oleynik (Vladimir Akimov), Nina Naboka (Aunt Varya), Marina Koshkina (Galya) and others.
The film will be released nationwide on May 9.
It was earlier reported that Netflix has released the first trailer for a science-fiction film. Atlas directed by Brad Peyton.
