America Ferrerawas nominated for an Oscar 2024 for her role as Gloryin ‘Barbie‘. The actress, known for her work in ‘Ugly Betty’ and ‘Superstore’, does not believe she is living in this moment. In an interview with Variety, she commented on the non-nomination of Margot Robbie It is Greta Gewing to the Oscars.
I was incredibly disappointed that they weren’t nominated. Greta did just about everything a director could do to deserve this. Creating this world and taking something that had no inherent value to most people and making it a global phenomenon. It’s disappointing not to see her on this list,” Ferrera revealed.

What Margot has achieved as an actress is truly unbelievable. One of the things about Margot as an actress is how easy she makes everything look. And perhaps people have been mistaken in thinking that the job seems easy, but Margot is a magical actress in front of the screen, and it was one of the honors of my career to be able to witness the incredible performance she gave. She brings a lot of heart, humor, depth, joy and fun to the character. In my book, she is a master”, added the actress.
Regarding her nomination as Best Supporting Actress, America She said she watched the announcement of the Oscar nominees alone, while her husband took the children to school. But, unable to believe that that moment was real, she even heard her phone ring, knowing for sure that the indication was indeed true!
I still can’t understand my feelings because I’m still at the stage: ‘I can’t even believe this is real. There was a moment when I wasn’t sure if I had made it up. And then my phone started ringing, so I figured I must have heard it right,” Ferrera shared.
