Hello. This is Starship Entertainment.
We want to inform you about the current status of progress regarding legal action against the violation of the rights of Starship Entertainment artists.
Since November 2022, the agency has been conducting criminal and civil actions as well as an overseas legal action against “Sojang” who has continuously harassed our artists. Through the continuous circulation of false information, “Sojang” committed serious defamations, and they not only disrupted the agency’s business, but also caused serious pain to artists and fans. Therefore, the agency is doing everything possible to ensure that they are held civilly and criminally responsible through the ongoing process.
The criminal charges filed against “Sojang” were recently forwarded from the police to the prosecutor’s office and await harsh judgment of the law. As the matter is still ongoing, we believe that a court judgment has not yet been rendered. Additionally, there are two civil lawsuits filed against “Sojang”. The civil lawsuit filed by the agency is scheduled to be contested in January, and the [ação] raised by artist Jang Won Young herself was not answered by the other party, so the case was won through considered confession.
