‘How to Train Your Dragon’: Live-action has started production

Filming for the first live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” has begun! The person who confirmed the information was Dean DeBlois, director of the film, through a post on his Instagram. For the announcement, the filmmaker took a photo holding a clapperboard with information about the film.

DeBlois He also directed the animated trilogy of “How to Train Your Dragon” and worked on the script for the feature films. Some actors have already been confirmed as part of the cast. Among them are: Gerard Butler (Invasion of the White House), Nico Parker (The Last of Us), Mason Thames (The Black Phone) and Nick Frost (Buck Lead).

The “How to Train Your Dragon” franchise has three films, released between 2010 and 2019 and they are based on the book saga of the same name, written by Cressida Cowell. In Brazil, films are available on Prime Vídeo and Telecine.

The live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” was announced in February 2023 and began filming in May. However, with the Hollywood shutdown, they were interrupted. Therefore, the film should premiere in June 2025, 3 months later than expected.
