The winners of the literary prize were announced in Lviv Lviv – UNESCO City of Literature. This was announced by the mayor of the city Andrei Sadovy.
The main prize was won by Elena Styazhkina with her novel Cecil’s death left little meaning.
The book talks about the war and the fate of the people who accidentally united in the Donetsk maternity hospital.
The special award for a work about war was shared by Nina Zakhozhenko for the play Me, the war and the plastic grenade and Yarina Chernoguz for the poetry collection “dasein: defense of presence].
“Today we also remember, thank and remember all those who did not finish writing, did not live to see tonight, all those who died in the war. Ukrainian literature will live forever, thanks to you,” added Sadovyi.
