In addition to the Golden Globe winner, ‘The Boy and the Crane’, remember some of the most striking animations released by Studio Ghibli
Last Sunday, the 7th, the film “The Boy and the Crane”, by Studio Ghibli, was the big winner in the “Best Animated Film” category at the 2024 Golden Globes. The production was responsible for marking the return of the renowned director Hayao Miyazaki back to work, after giving up his retirement.
Beating big titles like “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, “Suzume”, “Super Mario Bros.: The Movie”, “Elements” and “Wish: The Power of Wishes”, Studio Ghibli’s most recent animation achieved some historic feats, such as:
- Hayao Miyazaki’s first Golden Globe;
- First Golden Globe for a Studio Ghibli production;
- First Japanese animation to win the Golden Globe;
- First animated feature film not made in the English language to receive the nomination;
