As part of the SM STATION project, aespa will re-record one of the songs by Seo Taiji and Boys, an important first generation boy group
ATTENTION, MYs! This Monday, the 8th, the aespa announced the release of a remake version of the song “Regret of the Times”, originally released by the boy group Seo Taiji & Boys in 1996. Remember the original song!
According to information released by SM Entertainment, the company responsible for the group, the track is scheduled for release on January 15th, at 6 am (Brasília time).
Emerging in the early 90s, Seo Taiji & Boys, composed of Seo Tai-ji, Yang Hyun-suk It is Lee Ju-no, is considered the first K-pop group, being one of the main references for artists to this day. Among his hits, we can mention “I Know”, “Hayeoga”, “You, In The Fantasy”, “Come Back Home”, among others.
It’s worth remembering that this isn’t the first time that aespa has remakes songs from the first generation. In 2022, the group released a new version of the track “Dreams Come True”, a track originally released by the girl group SES in 1998.
aespa is the latest girl group from SM Entertainment, and is made up of Karina, Giselle, Winter It is Ningning. The group debuted in November 2020 with the song “Black Mamba”, which introduced the public to the concept of Kwangya, the agency’s parallel universe that unites all artists.
