The answer to one of the doubts that permeate the universe of “Wish: the Power of Desire” was given by one of the film’s writers; find it out!
Last Thursday, 4th, “Wish: the Power of Desires” premiered on Brazilian screens! The film that celebrates Disney’s 100 years is full of references to the works released by the studio in the last centenary, arousing surprised looks in movie theaters among those who manage to capture the productions honored in the animated feature film.
Among these, there is one that catches your attention: after all, are Asha’s teenage friends inspired by the dwarves from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”? The answer to the question was given by the screenwriter who, alongside Jennifer Leeis credited as the film’s writer: Allison Moore.
Each teen is inspired by a dwarf – they are dressed in the same color palette as their respective dwarf, with whom they share a fun personality trait or two. Their names even start with the same letter,” Moore revealed.
This way, it is clear that Asha’s best friend, Dahlia has her name derived from Doc (Master, in Portuguese), wearing red clothes just like the character. Gabo has the same initial as Grumpy (Grumpy, in Portuguese) and also has the color lavender highlighted in his clothing.
Besides them, there is Hal, the friend who always chooses to see the good side of every situation, having her personality inspired by Happy (Happy, in Portuguese), and the sleepy Simon, who, like Sleepy (Soneca, in Portuguese), is always yawning here and there.
Finally, the septet is completed by three more members: Safi, who, like Sneezy (Atchim, in Portuguese) lives with a red nose and about to sneeze; Dario, who wears a lilac cap and is always in his own little world, just like Dopey (Dunga, in Portuguese) and Bazeema, who wears a blue blouse similar to Bashful (Dengoso, in Portuguese).
