Jimin, member of the group BTS reaches a new record as a soloist, after releasing his new song “Closer Than This”; know more!
Jimin, member of the group BTS has just established another important milestone in the music market! On January 3, Billboard announced that the singer’s new single, called “Closer Than This”, debuted at number one on the digital song sales chart. It is worth noting that this is the artist’s fifth solo song to reach the top of the chart.
With this record, Jimin tied with his colleague Jungkook, also from BTS, as the Korean soloist with the most number one songs on the charts. In addition to “Closer Than This”, Jimin topped the digital music sales chart with 4 other hits, namely: “Set Me Free Pt.2”, “With You”, “Angel Pt. 1” and “Like Crazy”.
The single “Closer Than This”, released on December 22, 2023, broke many records. Among them are the debut in first place on Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales”, in 35th place in “Global Excl” and in fourth place in “Bubbling Under Hot 100”. Check out the music video for this hit below!
